Non-California Residents: Tuition is $6,000. No financial aid is available.

Transportation to and from the UCSD campus is the responsibility of the student and will not be covered or arranged by COSMOS or through financial assistance.
What does the tuition cover?
Tuition covers room and meals in the university residence halls, course and lab materials, field trips and residential activities. Students bring spending money for the weekend field trips, to shop at the campus bookstore or for incidentals.
Is financial assistance available?
Yes, need-based financial assistance may be available for California residents only. The actual program cost per student is over $6,000, so California students are already subsidized by the State of California $2,750. Approximately 35% of students who attend the program receive financial aid. The financial aid form can be found on the COSMOS application website: http://cosmos-ucop.ucdavis.edu/
Who is eligible for financial assistance?
Families who verify financial need based on income will be considered. For consideration, families will need to mail (do not email) a copy of:
- The first page of the current year's income tax return showing the number of dependents and adjusted gross income. Black out all social security numbers for your security. If 2014 taxes are not completed yet, send a copy of the 2013 tax page. Final aid determinations can only be made when the 2014 tax information is received.
- Other income documentation such as a TANF letter
- COSMOS is NOT accepting free/reduced lunch letters this year for demonstrated financial need.
- A brief paragraph describing other contributing circumstances to qualify for aid. Supporting dependents in college will not be considered in determining aid eligibility.
